Empower Network Scam

If you are searching for “empower network scam”  in the search engines – then congratulations – you are at least a little cautious. Maybe you’ve lost money online before, maybe some alarm bells are already ringing.

Unfortunately you will probably not find anything very useful when you check out any of those so-called reviews. You see marketers can be clever, and they know that quite often you will check out XYZ scam just before you decide its OK and buy it.

Well I’m here to tell you the truth – and the truth is ugly. The Empower scheme is not just a scam, its an illegal pyrmaid scheme. So there are two options: you will either lose money (the majority of people), or you may actually make money – and then lose your merchant account (or paypal) if that’s what you are using for payment, you reputation, and even get prosecuted.

Not pretty! So how can you tell when something is a scam or a pyramid scheme. Well a scam is easy: if it sounds too good to be true – it probably is. Lets see how Empower are pitching themselves. They say you deserve a better life, they say anyone can do this, regardless of whether they know anything about making money online. Yeah right – I’ve been making a living online for several years now – and I can tell you for free – its bloody hard work and there’s heaps to learn

What makes this scheme even worse – and in fact a pyramid scheme – is that they are offering nothing of value. This is the classic test – if a system is offering something of value (even if its over-priced) – its not a pyramid scheme – its multi-level marketing (think Amway or Nutrilife).

But, you say, they are offering an 8-part video course – that’s worth something isn’t it. Well no its not – each video is very, very short- in fact all 8 together are shorter than the 40 minute long sales pitch on the first page. The content? Laughable is too kind really. One of the videos explains are “leaders are readers, and readers are leaders” and tells you to read at least 30 minutes a day, even if its just their auto-responder series!

The Empower Network scam  is quite hot at the moment – it launched in November I think. The trouble is, like every scam on the Internet, it will burn bright for a few months and leave a very few people with lots of money (the founders and their friends on the first few tiers) – everyone else – including you will end up seriously out of pocket. Do not buy is my recommendation
